OK, Android is one of the best phone mediums around. (at least in the short time it has been around). It has caught up to i Phone, and surpassed RIM in new market share (885% growth). Now as a self-professed geek, I pride myself in upgrading my software for everything. This includes PC and even wii software whenever possible. However, it has been recently noticed that the face book for android software decreases phone battery life horribly. I upgraded to the dessert du jour (Eclair) and increased my battery life, I figured a face book upgrade would be nice too, but wow, was I wrong. This app even slowed down other processes.

So, a word to you all, upgrade all of your software when a new upgrade arises, but if you haven’t upgraded to face book 1.3 for Android (or greater) yet, please don’t. You will most assuredly regret it. Use your touch browser instead if you want the same “look”. You can also try the new AIM app, you can get your lifestream from facebook, post comments, and like other posts. You can also chat with your facebook friends, something the Facebook app does not do, (poor choice in my book).
